FC 26's latest Ultimate Team promotion has arrived, and Prime Heroes is already generating massive excitement throughout the community. Featuring upgraded versions of football legends with a signature 99-rated attribute, the event delivers some of the most unique cards released this year. Jamie Carragher's Prime Hero card surprised many players by featuring 99 Physicality alongside excellent defensive PlayStyles. The card even includes Quick Step, making him far more mobile than previous versions.

Micah Richards also emerged as a standout defender. With 99 Pace and outstanding physical attributes, he looks capable of keeping up with virtually any attacker in Ultimate Team. While some questioned the exact PlayStyle selections on the card, the overall package remains highly attractive.

Meanwhile, Roberto Silva's upgraded version boasts elite defensive traits, 99 Physicality, and exceptional passing abilities that allow him to contribute in both defensive and build-up situations.

Player Picks Deliver Mixed Results

As always, Hero Player Picks became one of the most exciting parts of the opening session.

Some picks produced excellent value, while others resulted in frustrating duplicates.

Fàbregas appeared repeatedly throughout multiple selections, largely due to his relatively low overall rating compared to some of the premium Prime Heroes. Mandžukić also showed up frequently, becoming one of the most common cards seen during the opening.

However, there were still moments of excitement.

A standout pull came in the form of Prime Hero Blaise Matuidi. His upgraded version features 99 Passing alongside elite defensive and midfield attributes. With strong play styles and a valuable market price, Matuidi instantly became one of the best pulls of the entire session.

At the time of the opening, his card was among the most expensive Prime Heroes available, proving that elite rewards are still possible if luck is on your side.

Duplicate Heroes Become a Frustration

One recurring issue throughout the pack opening was the frequency of duplicate cards.

Several heroes appeared multiple times, including Mandžukić, Häßler, Fàbregas, and Carragher. While duplicates can still provide valuable fodder for Squad Building Challenges, they become increasingly disappointing when players are chasing rare stars such as Hazard, Stam, or Yaya Touré.

Compared to the Prime Heroes promotion, the Icon upgrades felt underwhelming.

The Search for Hazard and Stam Continues

Despite opening a huge number of packs, two names remained elusive throughout the entire session: Eden Hazard and Jaap Stam.

Both cards are considered among the most desirable players in the Prime Heroes promotion and represent the kind of pull capable of instantly improving almost any Ultimate Team squad.

While Matuidi emerged as the most valuable card obtained, the hunt for the absolute top-tier Prime Heroes continues.

A Strong Start for Prime Heroes
